I started out my YouTube journey because I wanted to capture myself for memories, but it slowly developed into a passion for creating and sharing. I also have a strong interest for beauty and fashion as I believe that while both allows us to feel more confident, they are also a way for us to express ourselves as a unique individual. Growing up, I was always drawn to creating things (eg. drawing cartoon characters I see on the TV, cutting up and sewing my own clothes (honestly when I was only 10!), D.I.Ys, paintings, etc). Similar to all the craft-works I have done in my life, I believe every single one of my video represents a piece of work that I have created, and my channel serves as a library to store them. I recently launched my blog in June 2016 as I felt like it enables me to explore my interest in photography and writing, whilst producing informative content and reviews for my fellow beauty junkies.
Q: Please share about your skincare routine and what you think every female should have for skincare!
A: Starting off with removing my make-up, I love to use either a cleansing balm or a make-up wipe. Currently, I am using an oil-based make-up wipe and even though I have oily skin, I love that oil-based cleansers removes my make-up almost instantly and does not leave any residues. My daily skincare routine simply consist of a facial cleanser (sometimes I use it with a facial brush for a deeper cleanse), a toner, moisturizer and of course an oil free sunscreen. Having oily skin, I like to give my face a good scrub to remove any blackheads and dead skin at least once or twice a week. I am also obsessed with putting facial masks so I tend to use them at least twice a week.
Q: What do you think of Klarity products and which is your favourite Klarity product!
A: Overall, I was really amazed with all the products I have tried from Klarity. I did not expect myself to like the CC Cream as I seldom use them in general. However, I was surprised that the CC Cream applied really smoothly and it felt really lightweight on my face. My favourite part about the CC Cream has got to be the finish as it gave me a healthy glow without making my skin look oily or shiny. I will definitely recommend the Mud Mask as it is my favourite out of all the products I have received. As I have mentioned, I love facial masks and especially mud masks! After rinsing off the mask, I love how my face feels really cleansed and soft, and it certainly looked brighter and my pores are less visible too. The best thing about this mask is the smell of cocoa butter! It was almost as good as smearing chocolate all over my face and I do always appreciate a yummy-smelling mask.
Q: Any advice/beauty tips for your followers out there?
A: Personally, the most important part of my skincare routine is the cleansing stage. I always take a good 3 to 5 minutes to wash my face, just going in circular motions especially on the nose and areas where I tend to break out. Most people tend to take less than a minute to wash their face as they have the misconception that once the soap touches their face, it means it’s clean. But taking a longer time to wash your face actually ensures all dirt, dust, and oil are washed out from your pores. After I cultivated this habit, I noticed that I started developing lesser pimples and the existing spots go away quicker as well. So to those who are struggling with break outs, I’d advise them to take their time when they cleanse their skin.
